Privacy and POPIA Policy

Pru-Wellness respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and other applicable South African legislation.

POPIA establishes minimum requirements for the lawful processing and protection of personal information by private and public bodies.

When you browse our website, contact us or place an order, we may collect information including your: name and surname; email address; telephone number; billing and delivery address; order and transaction information; communications with Pru-Wellness; IP address, browser/device information and website usage information; payment-related information necessary to process a transaction.

Where payment is processed by an external payment service provider, Pru-Wellness does not necessarily receive or store your complete card or banking credentials.

We may use personal information to process orders and payments, arrange deliveries, communicate with customers, provide customer support, prevent fraud, maintain business records, improve our website and services, comply with legal requirements, and send marketing communications where permitted.

We aim to collect only information reasonably required for a specific business or legal purpose and to keep personal information accurate and appropriately secured. These principles are consistent with guidance published by the Information Regulator.

Personal information may be shared, where reasonably necessary, with service providers such as: payment processors; courier and delivery providers; website hosting and IT service providers; professional advisers; regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where required by law.

We do not sell customers' personal information.

Some technology or payment providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we will take reasonable measures to ensure that personal information is handled in a manner consistent with applicable POPIA requirements.

Pru-Wellness takes reasonable technical and organisational precautions to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Personal information will only be retained for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, or for any additional period required by law, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution or legitimate business requirements.

Customers may, subject to applicable law, request access to their personal information, request correction or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary personal information, object to certain processing and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Marketing communications will include an appropriate method for opting out of future direct marketing.

Our website may use cookies or similar technology for essential website functionality, analytics, security and improving the customer experience. Customers may control certain cookies through their browser settings.
